Heart valves regulate blood flow within the heart by opening and closing in response to pressure changes. In the human heart, there are four valves:
Tricuspid valve: Located between the right atrium and right ventricle.
Pulmonary valve: Found between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.
Mitral valve: Positioned between the left atrium and left ventricle.
Aortic valve: Situated between the left ventricle and the aorta.
These valves ensure blood flows in one direction, preventing backflow and maintaining efficient circulation throughout the body.
