HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) are protocols used for transmitting data over the internet. The main difference between them is that HTTPS uses encryption (usually SSL/TLS) to secure the communication between the client and the server, while HTTP does not. As a result, HTTPS is considered more secure and is commonly used for transmitting sensitive information, such as login credentials and payment details.
