Lo mei, also known as “lo-mei,” refers to a style of Chinese cuisine involving braised or stewed meats, often including offals like chicken feet, duck necks, and pork belly. The meats are simmered in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, sugar, five-spice powder, and other seasonings until tender and infused with rich flavors. It’s commonly served as a cold or room-temperature dish, often enjoyed with pickled vegetables or as a part of a larger meal.
