The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) is the Central Drug Authority for discharging functions assigned to the Central Government under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
The CDSCO stands for the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation. It’s the national regulatory body for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices in India. Essentially, it functions similarly to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
