A Sticky Intent in Android is a type of Intent that is used to broadcast a message to multiple components, allowing them to receive the message even if they are not currently running. When a Sticky Intent is sent, it remains in the system’s memory after the broadcast completes, so any new receivers can access the last data sent with that Intent.
Key Points about Sticky Intents:
Persistent Data: The data in a Sticky Intent is available until it is replaced by a new Sticky Intent of the same action.
Usage: Typically used for broadcasting information that other components may need to access at a later time, such as system events (e.g., battery level changes).
Broadcast Receivers: Sticky Intents are often received by Broadcast Receivers, allowing them to retrieve the last known data even if they are not currently active when the Intent is sent.
