The sounds that have a frequency larger than the human audible limit are called Ultrasounds.
An ultrasound is a type of oscillating sound pressure wave that has a higher frequency than human hearing is able to detect. An ultrasound is not a unique type of sound, therefore, but is classified differently due to the fact that humans cannot hear it.
An ultrasound is an imaging test that uses sound waves to make pictures of organs, tissues, and other structures inside your body. It allows your health care provider to see into your body without surgery. Ultrasound is also called ultrasonography or sonography. Ultrasound images may be called sonograms.
