The Vedas are called ‘shruti’ because they are believed to be revelead knowledge. the vedas are not composed by humans but were heard by ancient sages or seers during deep states of meditation. They are considered timeless and eternal releations directly received from the divine
The 3 Vedas are the Rigveda (Knowledge of the Verses), the Yajurveda, the Samaveda, and the Atharvaveda.
