Osteoblasts and osteoclasts are two distinct types of bone cells that work together to maintain healthy bones through bone remodeling. Both osteoblast and osteoclast have distinct roles as follows:
Osteoblasts are known as bone-building cells. These cells are responsible for new bone tissue formation. These cells are responsible for synthesizing collagen and other proteins, and are responsible for creating bone matrices. This helps in the deposition of calcium and phosphate. This process strengthens bones and supports growth, healing, and repair after injuries or fractures. Once osteoblasts complete their work, some become osteocytes (mature bone cells), while others die or remain inactive.
    Main functions of osteoblasts:
    Build new bone
    Produce bone matrix
    Promote mineralization
