Electric vehicles (EVs) are cars powered by electricity rather than gasoline or diesel. The concept of EVs isn’t new; the idea dates back to the 19th century. In the early 1800s, inventors like Robert Anderson experimented with electric carriages. By the late 1800s, electric cars became popular in urban areas due to their quiet operation and ease of use compared to noisy gasoline cars. However, with the advent of internal combustion engines and their widespread adoption, electric vehicles fell out of favor. It wasn’t until the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with advances in battery technology and growing environmental concerns, that EVs began to make a significant comeback, with modern manufacturers like Tesla leading the charge.
