The term “LBW” (Leg Before Wicket) is associated with the sport of cricket. It refers to a mode of dismissal where a batsman is out if the ball, as delivered by the bowler, hits any part of the batsman’s body (usually the leg) before hitting the bat and, in the opinion of the umpire, would have gone on to hit the stumps.
Leg before wicket (lbw) is one of the ways in which a batter can be dismissed in the sport of cricket.
