In 2020 the Parliament of India passed a bill to make Kashmiri the authority language of Jammu and Kashmir alongside Dogri, Hindi, English, and Urdu. Kashmiri is additionally among the 22 booked dialects of India. Kashmiri has part ergativity and the unordinary action word second-word request.
