Endogamy refers to marriage within one’s own family, clan, or cultural group. It is also known as in-marriage. Endogamy is a form of segregation that helps a group or community resist integrating or merging with other cultures or groups who do not share the same cultural or religious beliefs or ethnic backgrounds.
