The Kesari was another newspaper that was used to spread nationalist views. It was founded in 1881 by Lokmanya Tilak, and it was also published in Marathi. The newspaper was aimed at a wider audience than the Maratha and was used to disseminate Tilak’s views on nationalism and social issues.
Both Kesari and Maratha are significant newspapers associated with Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Kesari was published in Marathi, while Maratha was published in English. Both played important roles in the Indian independence movement. If you are referring to Lala Lajpat Rai, he is specifically associated with the title “Punjab Kesari.”
