Critical devices like monitors, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, and ESUs should be calibrated every 6 months and undergo preventive maintenance monthly. Anything less is negligence. Uncalibrated equipment delivers inaccurate readings, increasing risk during surgery. A well-maintained OT isn’t optional—it is a legal and clinical requirement.
