Calculating steam turbine efficiency became much clearer when I got guidance from NCON Turbines. They explained that efficiency is calculated using the formula: Efficiency (%) = (Actual Work Output / Energy Input) x 100.
To do this, I measured the steam flow rate, inlet and outlet pressures, and temperatures to find the energy input using steam tables. Then, I calculated the actual work output by measuring the mechanical power delivered by the turbine. The experts at NCON Turbines also gave me tips to improve efficiency and reduce energy losses, making the whole process simple and effective.
