In Hindi, adjectives agree with the nouns they describe in gender and number. For example, “बड़ा लड़का” (bada ladka – big boy) uses “बड़ा” (bada) for the masculine singular noun “लड़का.” In contrast, “बड़ी लड़की” (badi ladki – big girl) uses “बड़ी” (badi) for the feminine singular noun “लड़की.”
