During the medieval period, Haryana was a significant battleground due to its strategic location between North India and the Delhi Sultanate. The region witnessed several battles between various dynasties, including the Chauhans, Tomars, and later, the Mughals. The town of Panipat, in particular, gained historical importance for hosting three major battles that shaped Indian history.
