    The Montane forests can be classified into three types according to the altitude as; alpine vegetation, temperate forests and wet temperate forests. ​ Alpine vegetation is found in areas with altitudes more than 3600m. Coniferous forests are found in areas with altitudes of 1500 to 3000m.
