The heart of a blue whale can weigh 450kg. Before they were hunted by commercial whaling, some whales reached 200,000kg. Despite their enormous size, they feed on tiny shrimp-like crustaceans called krill (as many as 40 million every day). Average-sized blue whales consume 1,120 ± 359 kilograms (2,469 ± 791 lb) of krill a day. The global blue whale population is estimated to be 5,000–15,000 mature individuals and 10,000–25,000 total as of 2018.

Most of the Catfish have 1,00,00 taste receptors on their skin, but some of them have 1,75,000 taste receptors. There are close to 3,000 species of catfish. Most of the Catfish species live in freshwater, but there are some species like the hardhead catfish live in saltwater. Catfish eat a variety of small fish, mollusks, insects, crayfish, snails, clams, and frogs. They also will eat algae and the remains of dead fish and plants that are floating in the water. Headwater catfish, the ones that live in saltwater, will eat seagrass, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and blue crabs.
