Baseball games were sometimes cancelled on account of rain in the days before modern ballparks. When this happened, ticket holders were given a new ticket, called a rain check, to use to attend another game in the future.

Eg: As I have to study for the exam tomorrow, I’ll take a rain check on the party invite.

“Under the Weather” is a idiom meaning someone is not feeling well. The origin of the idiom ‘under the weather’ can be traced back to maritime sources. In the old days, sailors who weren’t feeling well were often sent below deck, so they could get out of the weather. The term we use today has been shortened though; originally, the idiom was ‘under the weather bow’ which is the side of ship from which the bad weather is coming.
Eg: I can’t go to the concert today. I’m feeling a bit under the weather.

People don’t take mental health issue as serious as it is, because the person with mental health issue, due to the lack of self-awareness, brush off their own feelings as laziness or inability, when they are in toxic environment.Only when things get extreme to a point like losing control over masking ones emotions, lack of motivation for any physical movement, avoiding people altogether and even more, they themself sense something wrong with them, even then, thinking about all the issues in their life except mental health issues. So, to address mental health, one should be self-aware or be with people who actually care for them only then mental health is taken as serious as physical health. If you feel the environment you are in, is overwhelming you, don’t be afraid to set boundaries for you,to think about your emotions and never give up on finding like minded people. At the end, WE ARE THE HERO OF OUR LIFE SO ONLY WE CAN SAVE OURSELVES.
