    Dubbed the “Mexico 66,” the shoes were made for the 1968 Olympic pre trials in Mexico City. Unlike other branded designs, the tiger stripes had a real function on top of their identifying mark. The lacing of the shoes was integrated into the vertical stripe to improve stability and flexibility.
