To separate salt from ammonium chloride, you can use the process of sublimation. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. **Setup**: Place the mixture of salt and ammonium chloride in a watch glass or a shallow dish.

    2. **Heating**: Heat the mixture gently. Ammonium chloride will sublime, meaning it will turn directly from a solid into a gas without passing through the liquid phase. The salt will remain behind in its solid form.

    3. **Collection**: Place a cold surface, like another watch glass or a piece of cold glass, above the heated mixture. The ammonium chloride gas will come into contact with the cold surface, where it will re-solidify as tiny crystals.

    4. **Separation**: Once the heating is complete, you can see the salt left in the original dish, and the ammonium chloride crystals collected on the cold surface. You can then separate the two substances.

This method allows you to separate salt (sodium chloride) from ammonium chloride through the process of sublimation.
