    Chandragupta Maurya was refered to as Sandrocottus by Justin. Justin, the Greek who was the writer of book titled Epitome had mentioned Chandragupta Maurya as Sandrocottus. It was identified by William Jones. William Jones recognized Sandrokottos as Chandragupta Maurya.
