In recent times, stem cell therapy has emerged as a crucial regenerative treatment approach for treating various chronic diseases, including metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, ocular problems, and bone associated disorders. However, there are several challenges associated with the application of stem cell therapy. This includes:
Stem-cell therapy poses a crucial risk of immune rejection. In certain cases, a patient’s immune system might treat the transplanted stem cells as foreign and attack them, thus reducing the effectiveness of the treatment. In the case of autologous stem cells, the risk of immune rejection is minimal.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic respiratory disease. The disease develops progressively. COPD is characterized by persistent airflow restriction, chronic inflammation in the airway, and structural damage to the lungs. The common COPD effect includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The major cause of COPD is exposure to long-term cigarette smoke, air pollution, occupational dust, and environmental toxins.
Currently, COPD treatment focuses on managing the symptoms. It is not curable. The structural destruction of alveoli and the narrowing of small airways are largely irreversible. Unlike acute respiratory infections, COPD leads to permanent lung remodelling. This involves damage to lung tissue, impaired gaseous exchange, and loss of elastic recoil.

The treatment of Erectile dysfunction (ED) depends on its underlying cause; the condition can be improved with a change in lifestyle factors and other health conditions. These factors include adequate nutritional intake, maintaining healthy circulation, and cardiovascular health, which is central to natural management. Some of the important measures include:
Regular exercise: This is one of the common natural approaches. The aerobic activities, such as brisk walking, cycling, jogging, or swimming, improve blood flow. It also promotes the production of nitric oxide, which supports stronger erections. Strength training is also known to boost testosterone levels.
Weight management: Obesity is one of the major causes of ED.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is popularly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a neurological condition that has adverse effects on the nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement. The nerve cells are known as motor neurons that are present in the brain and spinal cord. The primary function of these neurons is to send signals from the brain to muscles.
On the occurrence of ALS, motor neurons degenerate, hence showing compromised signalling activities. This leads to muscular weakness, loss of self-control, or stiffness. This is progressive, leading to muscle wasting (atrophy). Hence, the individual’s ability to perform everyday activities is compromised.

Generally, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a lifelong condition that generally affects children at an early stage of life. Some of the common signs and symptoms include challenges in developing verbal and non-verbal communication, developing social relationships, or interacting with others. Critical limb ischemia (CLI) and acute limb ischemia (ALI) differ in their onset, cause, severity and urgency. CLI is a chronic condition that develops gradually over weeks or months due to the progressive narrowing or blockage of peripheral arteries. The occurrence of CLI is more life-threatening. It is characterized by persistent rest pain, non-healing ulcers, or gangrene. CLI reflects long-standing inadequate blood flow with some collateral circulation present. It is among the most severe forms of peripheral artery disease.
In contrast, ALI occurs suddenly due to a severe reduction in limb blood flow. This condition typically occurs within hours to days as a result of an arterial embolism, thrombosis, or trauma.

Liver cirrhosis is characterized by scarring of liver tissue caused over a long period of time. The scarring of liver cells results in restriction of adequate blood supply to the liver. Liver cirrhosis leads to compromised ability of the liver to filter toxins, produce bile (digestive enzyme), process nutrients, etc. Liver cirrhosis stem cell treatment in India is gaining popularity due to its ability to reverse the disease condition. The therapy focuses on regeneration and rejuvenation of the scarred cells via complete replacing of liver cells or tissues. Besides, other factors like inflammation and restriction of nearby cell/tissue damage make stem cell therapy a popular choice for healthcare practitioners.
