Avogadro’s law states that at constant temperature and pressure, the volume of a gas is directly proportional to the number of moles of the gas. Mathematically, it can be expressed as:
V ∝ n
or
V/n = k
where ( V ) is the volume of the gas, ( n ) is the number of moles of the gas, and ( k ) is a constant. This law implies that equal volumes of all gases, at the same temperature and pressure, contain the same number of molecules.
