Plastics recycling involves several steps:
Collection: Plastics are gathered from households, businesses, and other sources.
Sorting: Plastics are sorted based on their resin type and color.
Cleaning: Contaminants like dirt and labels are removed through washing.
Shredding: Plastics are shredded into small pieces to facilitate melting.
Melting: The shredded plastic is melted and formed into pellets or flakes.
Remanufacturing: These pellets or flakes are used to create new plastic products.
