The HPV vaccine provides protection against certain strains of HPV that are associated with cervical cancer. Therefore, women who have been vaccinated against HPV have a lower risk of developing cervical cancer. However, the vaccine does not provide complete protection against all HPV strains, so it is still important for vaccinated women to undergo regular cervical cancer screenings as recommended by their healthcare provider.
