Teachers can encourage creativity through STEM activities by giving students opportunities to explore ideas, experiment, and develop their own solutions rather than following only fixed instructions. Open-ended challenges can allow students to approach the same problem in different ways.
Activities such as designing prototypes, building simple machines, programming robots, creating 3D models, or developing solutions to environmental problems can encourage students to think creatively. Teachers can also ask students to explain their ideas, test different approaches, learn from mistakes, and improve their designs.
