In soccer, the basic rules are centered around scoring goals and preventing the opposing team from doing so. The game is played with two teams of eleven players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective is to score by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal. The game is divided into two 45-minute halves, and the team with the most goals at the end of the match wins. Key rules include no use of hands (except for goalkeepers within their penalty area), offside rules, and fouls that can lead to free kicks or penalties.
