The trophy for the FIFA Women’s World Cup was designed by William Sawaya of the Sawaya & Moroni design studio based in Milan, Italy.
The current trophy was designed in 1998 by William Sawaya for the 1999 tournament and takes the form of a spiral band, enclosing a football at the top.
