One of the most bizarre and captivating traditions is the “Baby Jumping Festival” in Castrillo de Murcia, Spain. Every year, during the Feast of Corpus Christi, men dressed as devils jump over rows of babies lying on mattresses in the street. Known as “El Colacho,” this tradition dates back to the early 1600s and is believed to cleanse the infants of original sin, ward off evil spirits, and ensure their safe passage through life.
