In my experience working in the power industry, I’ve seen all sorts of turbines, and the two main types are single-stage and multistage. They both use steam to spin a shaft and generate power, but they go about it in different ways.
Single vs. Multi Stage Turbines:
• Single Stage: Think pinwheel! Easy to build, good for small jobs (fans, pumps). Less powerful, though.
• Multi Stage: Like many pinwheels in a row! More complex, but way more powerful. Perfect for big electricity needs (factories, power plants).
