Electric charge means the current flowing in wire in per unit time as Q = I/t
It’s si unit is coulomb (C) and in cgs Faraday (F)
i) Electric charge is a fundamental property which can be positive pr negative
ii) It’s a measure of the amount of electric energy a object or particle carriers.
iii) Electric charge is measured in Coulombs(C)
Electric charge can be classified into two types
a)Positive Charge
b)Negative Charge
Protons are Positive charge and symbolized as +(addition symbol)
Electron are Negative charge and symbolized as -(subtraction symbol)
Charge is the property associated with matter due to which it produces and experiences electric and magnetic effect.
1) It is measured in Coulombs.
2) It can either be positive or negative.
3) It is generally denoted by Q.
4) It is given as Q= I/T
