The Green Revolution had a profound impact on Haryana’s agriculture in the 1960s and 1970s. Introduction of high-yielding varieties of seeds, chemical fertilizers, and modern irrigation techniques led to a dramatic increase in crop production, particularly wheat and rice. Haryana became one of the leading agricultural states in India, achieving food self-sufficiency and economic prosperity. However, it also brought challenges like soil degradation and water scarcity.
