In Gujarati, respect can be indicated by using the pronoun “તમે” (tame) instead of “તું” (tu). Additionally, respectful forms of verbs and adjectives are used. For example, “તમે કેવી રીતે છો?” (Tame kevi rite cho? – How are you?).
